Hotspot Alert: Suite 701

Heads up, Foodies! Here comes another Montreal hotspot alert! I recently celebrated my friend, Claudia’s, birthday with a group of my gal pals from high school. I’ve been a friend of Claudia’s for 13 years, and though we rarely get to see one another, when we do, it’s as though no time has passed at all. We talk, laugh, and smile until our faces hurt! To celebrate this great girl’s special day, we needed to find a place that was as wonderful as she is. Luckily, my friends and my hotspot radar was on target that night and we were not disappointed by our choice of Suite 701 located on Côte de la Place d’Armes in Old Montreal.

Decorated in sleek black and white, this place was the perfect locale for our girls’ night out. Dinner, drinks, and a DJ that kept us dancing all night long… I kept asking myself what didn’t this place have? Because I was with my high school pals, I decided on one of my favorite high school meals for dinner, poutine! But since I’ve grown up since the days of prom and struggling through chemistry class, I opted for a poutine that was grown up as well. Besides the usual fries, gravy, and heavenly cheese curds, my poutine came complete with steak. De-lic-ious!

I washed it down with a watermelon martini, one of Suite 701’s unique and mouth-watering drinks that will keep you coming back to this lounge time and time again. Topped by a large slice of watermelon, this martini and the comfy banquettes that surrounded the interior of Suite 701 were just the relief I needed from hitting the dance floor. If you’re there during the warmer months, don’t forget to visit their gorgeous rooftop terrace. Spectacular views of Montreal don’t get much better than this! Will this be my new fave summer-time hang out? We’ll have to wait and see!

Until next time!

xoxo
