It happened to all of us, having guest coming for dinner at the last minute and you don’t know what to prepare. Well I was recently in that situation, this quick and easy recipe was a true lifesaver.

Add a green salad and you will be sure to impress your guests.

  • Thaw the dough overnight in the fridge in clin wrap.
  • Take it out of the fridge 1 hour before use and  let it rise.
  • Flatten the ball of dough with your hands on a slightly floured work surface. Starting at the center and
    working outwards, use your fingertips to press the dough to 1/2-inch thick. Turn and stretch the dough
    until it will not stretch further.
  • Let the dough relax 5 minutes and then continue to stretch it until it reaches the desired diameter
    10 to 12 inches. Use your palm to flatten the edge of the dough where it is thicker. You can pinch the very edges if you want to form a lip.
  •  Brush the top of the dough garlic olive oil.Use your finger tips to press down and make dents along the surface of the dough to prevent bubbling.
  • Pre heat your over at 450” and Let it rest while you prepare the sauce.

  • Coat a saucepan with 2 tablespoons of the oil and warm over medium-low heat.
  • Add the garlic and cook, stirring, until soft.
  • Add the crushed tomatoes and sugar; season with salt and pepper.
  • Turn the heat up slightly to medium and simmer the sauce for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Stir in the basil and the remaining olive oil

  • Move the dough onto a round cooking pan.
  • Spoon on the sauce; sprinkle the parmesan and  the  mozzarella.  Slice the buffalo mozzarella and place in on the pizza.
  • To finish top off with the fresh basil.
  • Bake pizza one at a time until the crust is browned and the cheese is golden, about 10-15 minutes
And Voila you have a homemade pizza!
