Easy to Make Caprese Tomato Salad
Summer is finally near so make the most of warm weather, cool breezes and lazy days. When it’s just too hot outside to cook, Salads are the way to go they are no-fuss and don’t require an oven or stove. My favorite salad recipe is this Heirloom Tomatoes Caprese Salad. The trick to this salad is fresh ingredient. Try your local farmers market.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 schallot, chopped finely
- 3 tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
- 1½ tbsp. red wine vinegar
- 1 tsp. raw caster sugar
- Sea salt & cracked black pepper
- 800g heirloom tomatoes
- 2 buffalo mozzarella balls
- ½ bunch basil leaves
STEPS
Make dressing:
Whisk schallot, oil, vinegar and sugar in bowl and season with salt and pepper to taste.
