I was recently online looking for a monogrammed Fall wreath when I had the idea of making my own initial that could then be used with any wreath for any season. A simple change of ribbon would be all you need. You could also use the initial it on its own, as a door hanger. This tutorial is simple and will add appeal to your entrance.
Materials you will need:
– string or ribbon to match your wreath
– unfinished wooden letter
– Rust-Oleum Universal spray paint in gloss black
Directions:
Put the letter on newspaper (outside) and spray paint the back. Wait until it dries (20-30 minutes).
Turn it over and do the front. Make sure not to over spray as you will loose the glossy finish. Wait until it dries. Tie a ribbon around the letter and you’re ready to put it on your front door or wreath.
This was so easy, and best of all, the total project cost me around $9.
