The 70’s might be long gone, but the decade’s iconic fashion is far from being passé! Whether on the runway or the on sidewalk, don’t be surprised to see a few people who could pass as extras in Saturday Night Fever, because the “groovy” and “far out” trends of the disco era are back in full force this season. Here are a few of my favorite 70’s revival style picks for summer 2011:
Vintage Persol sunglasses – When it comes to shades, you can’t get much better than Persol. This Italian company has been around for almost a century and has mastered the art of mixing the best in ray blocking technology with classic aesthetic appeal. A match made in heaven? I think so!
Hudson bell-bottoms – These are flares that will definitely make people stare. If you’re in the market for a quality pair of jeans that are ultra comfy, fit like a glove, and make you look smokin’ hot, then look no further. Hudson jeans are your answer.
Miu Miu wedges – The height you want without the foot pain to go along with it. Oh, and did I mention that these boosts are super cute to boot? Just remember to take it easy if you decide to “get down” on the dance floor in these puppies!
Lace Jenni Kayne shift dress – Not only does Jenni Kayne make clothing I adore, but she also knows how to sell it to me. Her goal? To provide clients with “something sophisticated and classic at a price point that’s accessible to a lot of women.” Jenni, you’re a girl after my own heart!
Pucci scarf – Amazing designs, fabulous colors, and luxurious fabrics… what’s not to love about Pucci scarves? I’m still trying to figure this one out. I’ll let you know if I come up with anything, but don’t hold your breath!
